She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon H. Way and Bertha E. Way (Turner); her husband Howard H. Hughes Jr.; and her siblings, George, John, William and Ethel.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Jaeb (Chuck) of Hyde Park, Howard H. Hughes III (Lori) of Kingston and Kristie LeRoy (Steve) of Hyde Park; her grandchildren, Lauren Jaeb, Kayla Russell (Maddy), Nicole LeRoy and Christopher Hughes; her great grandchild Eloise Mae; her sister-in-law Reta Hughes; and her siblings, Anna Mae, Bertha, Emma and Gordon. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sweet's Funeral Home (4365 Albany Post Rd, Hyde Park, NY 12538). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the United Methodist Church of Hyde Par (1 Church St, Hyde Park, NY 12538).
