She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilfred Bechard and Bertha Hayden Bechard; her daughter Amy Mary Contursi; her in-laws, Mary and Tom Contursi; her brothers, Tom Bechard, Bobby Bechard and Wilfred Bechard; and her extended family Margaret Calista.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph A. Contursi; her son Justin T. Contursi (Christine) of Florida, NY; her grandchildren, Aiden, Julia and Brandon Contursi; her siblings, Patrick Bechard and Debbie Bechard Davidson; and her brother-in-law Thomas Contursi. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Sweet's Funeral Home (4365 Albany Post Rd, Hyde Park, NY 12538). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church (95 Mill St, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601).
