He was predeceased by : his parents, Martin Henry Schroeder and Anna Burfeind Schroeder; his spouse Jacquline Fogarty; his son John Schroeder; and his brothers, Jack and Marty Schroeder.

He is survived by : his sister Carolyn Baker of Calf; his sons, Rick (Suzanne) and David (Christy); his grandchildren, Tyler (Jenna), Siera (Derek), Christian (Hannah) and Brooke (Danny); and his caregivers, Mary and Cathy.

A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. James' Episcopal Church (4526 Albany Post Rd, Hyde Park, NY 12538). A burial was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery (342 South Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601).

In lieu of flowers, Henry's family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Hudson Valley Hospice (80 Washington St., Suite 204, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601) or St. James Episcopal Church (4526 Albany Post Rd., Hyde Park, NY), in recognition of the compassionate care and support provided during his final days.
