It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Malek Y. Qaqish of Hyde Park, New York, who passed away on July 12, 2025, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Yousef Qaqish and Samaya Qaqish; his wife Juliet Zeidan of Hyde Park; his children, Lisa Aldeir (George) of Hyde Park, Seif Qaqish (Kate) of Poughkeepsie, Laura Qaqish (Bsharah) of California and Said Qaqish (Shana) of Germantown; his siblings, Seif Qaqish, Said Kakish, Qais Qaqish, Nuhaila Qaqish, Berta Ababseh, Ikhlas Aldeir and Hanan Fakhoury; and also Suad Sayes. He was also cherished by 6 grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St James Church (441 Violet Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
