Christine (Joy) VanHatten Obituary

We are sad to announce that on June 17, 2025, at the age of 76, Christine (Joy) VanHatten of Ilion, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Christine may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Christine touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Joy and Lucy Joy (Urtz); her son Ryan VanHatten; and her husband Dale VanHatten. She is survived by: her daughter Holly VanHatten (Anthony Corelli) of Tampa, FL; and her brothers, Robert Joy (Kathy) of Clinton, NY and Edward Joy (Toni) of Ilion, NY..
