Capes of Ilion, NY; his daughters, Dana Ann Beran Guernsey (Dennis) of Ilion, NY and Lynda Marie Beran of Micco, FL.; his grandsons, Aaron James Rathbun of Herkimer, Jesse John Rathbun of Frankfort Center, Lee Gregory Johnson of Central Square and John Louis Barnekow of Rome; his great grandchildren, Aaliyah Lynn, Anthony Leon Johnson, Miranda Marie Winslow, Darcie Elizabeth, Ava Karen Rathbun, Melody Rose, John Malcolm Rathbun, Jamison Michael and Easton Myles Barnekow; his nieces and nephews, John Latella Jr., Jim Stegich, Renee Jones (Stegich), Danielle Bernard (Latella), Carol Kapala (Beran) and Michael Beran; his sisters-in-law, Judy Capes Bennett Tinkler, Joann Capes Richards and Nancy Kempe-Capes; and his close friends, Rudy Gadziala, Dale P. Christie and Ralph Erickson. He is also survived by many great-nieces, nephews, and cousins.
