It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jennie L. Comes of Ilion, New York, born in Cooperstown, New York, who passed away on May 12, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, John Bala and Ida Bala (Drew); her siblings, Irene Peak, Shirley Kruz, Ethel Capece, Jack, James and Harold Bala; and her daughter-in-law Cheryl Comes.
She is survived by : her children, Dawn Harris (Thomas) of Sunrise Beach, MO, David Comes (Lorraine) of Mohawk and Donald Comes of Ilion. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great granddaughters; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
