Though John may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Gokey (Richard) and Alfred Gokey; his sisters, Dorothy Brown and Carol Cross; and his brother-in-law Dennis Cross.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Gokey of Herkimer; his son John Gokey (Brandy) of Mohawk; his grandson Branden Gokey of Mohawk; his brother Alfred Gokey of Mohawk; and his sibling's children, Dan Brown and Denise Brown (Cheryl Gokey) of Herkimer.
