George Philip Haag Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 10, 2020, at the age of 87, George Philip Haag of Islip, New York, born in Bay Shore, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Haag and George Haag; his wife Dorothy "Dottie"; his former wife Dee; his sisters, Louise Paget and Phyllis Lamantagne; and his stepson James Grisinger.
He is survived by: his children, Caryn Slawinski (Bruce) of Aurora, Colorado, George Haig (Karen) of Hampstead and Paul Haag (Terri) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his grandchildren, Michelle Sala, Kylie Haag, Kellyn Forester (Preston), Ryan Haig (Courtney) and Tara Harris (Andrew); his stepgrandsons, Daniel Grisinger (Ellen), Benjamin Grisinger (Susan) and Andrew Grisinger (Jacy); and his friends, Arlene Loeffler, John Sherner, Bill Bestor and Jim Temo. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the loving staff at Melody Living for watching over and caring for George during his struggle with Lewy Body Dementia over the past several years, and especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.
