Amalia Stratakos Tio Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on February 23, 2026, at the age of 84, Amalia Stratakos Tio (Ithaca, New York) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Amalia may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Amalia touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vasiliki Stratakos and Constantine "Gus" Stratakos of Ithaca, NY. She is survived by: her daughter Zoé; her son-in-law Michael Ornstein; her grandchildren, Angelena and Elijah; her brother John Stratakos; and her nephews, Chip (Sheila) and Tony (Chryssa).
