Beth Evans Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Beth Evans (Ithaca, New York), who passed away on May 10, 2026, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Beth had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Beth may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

She is survived by: her wife Marian Koviack; her daughters, Kristin Peck and Leanne Viola; her stepdaughter Heather Koviack; her daughters-in-law, Sara Thannhauser and Sarah Goldberg; her grandsons, Parker Evan Tagumpay Viola and Louis Michael Thannhauser; her brother David Hoornstra; and her sister-in-law Lois Hoornstra. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated at the Tompkins County SPCA, to help her favorite critters in need.
