She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Wilkin Sears and Glenn Sears; her significant other Bruce Scoon; and her siblings, Mildred Sears, Marjorie Sears, Charlie Sears, Rena Lilly, Edith Nyenhuis, Glenn Sears and Winifred Simpkins. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
