It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary L. Harris of Ithaca, New York, who passed away on November 7, 2025, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Gary may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He is survived by: his wife Misty Harris; his daughter Tyffany VanDyke (Ryan); his granddaughter Mariah VanDyke; and his sisters, Kim and Deborah.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the First Unitarian Society (306 N Aurora St, Ithaca, NY 14850).
