We are sad to announce that on March 10, 2025, at the age of 94, George Scott Payton (Ithaca, New York), born in Hamilton, Ontario passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint George leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Payton and Elsie Payton; his son George Jr.; and his son-in-law Brett. He is survived by: his wife Grace; his children, Gayle (Brett), Joy (Tom), John (Lynn) and Greg (Laurene); and his daughter-in-law Donna.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the The Salvation Army (150 N Albany St, Ithaca, NY 14850).
