He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard G. Whittaker and Phyllis E. Whittaker (Williams); and his granddaughter Erin Whittaker. He is survived by: his wife Pam Whittaker; his children, Benjamin Whittaker (Vicky), Kevin Whittaker (Sheryl), Wayde Whittaker (Cindy), Andrea Scheitrum (Thomas) and Lori Barriere (Dustin Myers); his grandchildren, Weston Whittaker, Savannah Whittaker, Caitlyn Whittaker, Kristin Brown (Jacob), Evan Whittaker, Teagen Dibert, Skylar Price, Michael Brierley and Laurel Brierley; his great grandchildren, Lyric Autry, Brayden Whittaker, Adam Whittaker, Oliver Brown, Madeline Brown and Kinsley Walters; and his siblings, Ann VanDeMark, Thomas Whittaker and Bruce Whittaker. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Enfield Volunteer Fire Company (172 Enfield Main Rd, Ithaca, NY 14850). The military honors will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
