We announce the death of John F. Wootton (Ithaca, New York), who passed away on August 9, 2026, at the age of 97. John will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Eliza (Smith) and Rev. John Edenden Wootton; his wife Joyce; and his sisters, Elizabeth Manley (Betty Lou) and Margaret Dow (Peg).
He is survived by: his children, Tim (Cathy Pfister), David (Gina Snyder), Barbara (Marc Charpentier) and Bruce (Anne Wong); and his grandchildren, John Marc, Eric, John Benjamin, Anna, Mia, Christopher, Forrest and Tanner. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
