She was predeceased by: her parents, Eileen Russell and Kenneth Russell. She is survived by: her children, Kate Rubin, Daniel Rubin (Claire Halpert) and Benjamin Rubin; her grandchildren, Hugh Halpert and Elaine Halpert; her brothers, Kenneth Russell and James Russell; her siblings' children, Kenny, Nicole, Colleen and Lindsay; and her close friend Charles Westlake.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Friends of the Montezuma Wetlands Complex in Mary's honor.
