She was predeceased by: her parents, Elias Birnbaum and Edith Birnbaum (Goldberg); and her husband Gerard Salton. She is survived by: her children, Mariann Thompson (Richard) of Cornish, NH and Peter Salton (Susan) of Ithaca, NY; her grandchildren, Morgan D'Ausilio (Christopher) of Bridgewater, NJ, Katheryn Iglesias (Fernando) of Lebanon, NH and Alex Salton of New York City; and her great grandchildren, Benjamin D'Ausilio and Zachary D'Ausilio.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name can be made to the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra and the Aspen Music Festival.
