He was predeceased by: his son Karl Mainville; and his parents, Laura Mainville and Norm Mainville. He is survived by: his wife Christine Mainville (Aston) of Ithaca, NY; his children, Jonathon Freund (Jessica Iacovelli) of Newfield, NY and Christle Towner-Henriques (Carlos Henriques) of Colorado; his siblings, John Mainville (Yvonne) of Freeville, NY and Jean Gerbasi (Paul) of Lansing, NY; and his granddaughters, Lylia and Sage Freund. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
