He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, S. From Ireland and Catherine; his children, Mary Capt (Jim Costello), John Moran (Mary O'Brien), Edward Moran (Doris), A. Robert Moran (Gloria), William Moran Al Moran (Muriel) and Dorothy (Bill Doucet); his wife Patricia Moran; his children, Kevin (Melissa), Jennifer (Lou Sposito) and Kathy (Bill Rogers); and his grandchildren, Kylie, Ryan, Chase Sposito, Lindsay, Adrienne Rogers, Eamon, Quinlan and Finn Moran. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

“Richie was a neighbor and a friend of my family in Ithaca. I remember him as being full of life with a twinkle in his eyes. He and his wife would come to my mother’s Christmas cocktail party every year. I was the bartender and he’d ask me to make some impossible drink just to put me on the spot. Richie also wrote a letter of recommendation for me in my application to Notre Dame. My family mourns with you and yet also celebrates him. Mike Best”
