He was predeceased by : his wife Carol Jean Lynds of Bible Hill; and his parents, Earl Augustus MacKenzie and Mary Elizabeth MacKenzie (Wamboldt). He is survived by : his children, Kevin (Corina Rogge) and Lisa (Christopher Cook); and his grandchildren, Jackson Cook, Duncan Cook and Sydney Cook.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Palliative Care program at Brockville General Hospital and can be made at the funeral home.
