She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Chatfield Schanze and Leah Saltman Schanze; her husband Chuck; and her sister Gloria Schanze Griffin (Fay). She is survived by: her brother William Schanze (Alice Ann) of Midvale, UT; her children, Jim Casey (Deb) of Ithaca, NY and Gloria Beam (Tim) of Lake Odessa, MI; her granddaughters, Elisabeth Beam Ruby (Jace) of Little Falls, MN, Elena Casey (Alex Vaeth) of Eau Claire, WI, Christy Beam Liggins (Joshua) of Lake Odessa, MI and Melinda Casey Pierce (Max) of Los Angeles, CA; and her great grandchildren, Isaiah, Avielle, Zion Liggins, Gwennyth and J. J. Ruby. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
