We announce the death of Ruth Grace Knuth (Ithaca, New York), who passed away on October 27, 2026, at the age of 97. Ruth will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Nose Sr. (Mary Nose) and Lyndhurst (Ithaca) of Ohio; her husband John J. Knuth; her son Jeffrey J. Knuth; and her siblings, Mary Gross (Tony), Dorothy Bialko (Bernie), Rose Nose, Christine Nose, Jean Gibbs (Clyde), John Nose (Marge), Bridget Pniewski (Al), Edward Nose, Joan Nose, James Nose and Judy Dulaney (Gene).
She is survived by: her daughter Barbara Knuth (Kurt Jirka); her granddaughters, Caroline Jirka and Kelly Gingrich (Matthew); her great grandchildren, Hudson and Ryan Gingrich; and her sisters-in-law, Mana Nose and Dolores Nose. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass will be held on Friday, November 20th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (113 N Geneva St, Ithaca, NY 14850).
