He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Hodges and Pearl Hovey Hewes; his former wife Dorothy Beckerink Hodges; his wife Arolene Russell Hodges; his son Ronald L. Hodges; his siblings, Robert Hodges, Ellen Rulon and Elizabeth Nelson; and his stepsons, John Russell and Donald Russell.
He is survived by: his children, Marcia Sleigh (Ira John), Richard Hodges and Daniel Hodges (Sheri); his daughter-in-law Lisa Hodges; his stepchildren, Beverly Franzen and Carol Fosberg (Eric); his grandchildren, Amy Southwick, Jason Hodges (Ryan), Kristofer Hodges (Tracy), Camellia Chandler (Stephen) and Benjamin Hodges; and his great grandchild Matthew Southwick.
