He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Duane Alger, Sr. and Ruby Allene Swanson Alger; and his siblings, Clarence Duane Alger, Jr., Edward William Alger, Eleanor Dorothy Alger (Thor), Ruby Allene Alger and Alberta Ruth Alger Fuller.
He is survived by: his siblings, Nancy Marie Alger Carlson of Erie and Richard Walter Alger of Palm Bay. He is also survived by 37 nieces and nephews, 89 Grand nieces and nephews, 82 Great Grand nieces and nephews and 1 Great-Great Grandniece.
