It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daniel J. O'Brien of Jamestown, New York, who passed away on January 22, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Frances "Franny" Jeanette Freay O'Brien; his parents, Daniel C. O'Brien and Josephine Brigget Brennan O'Brien; his daughter Colleen Marie; and his siblings, James O'Brien and MaryJoe McGraw.

He is survived by: his pet Billy James; his sons, Michael O'Brien (Gayle), Thomas O'Brien (Shari), Christopher O'Brien (Julie) and John O'Brien (Kolene); his grandchildren, Sara Cowling (Nick), Hannah O'Donnell (Ian), Claudia Weingrad (Jordan), Levi O'Brien (Deandra), Ashton O'Brien (Hayley), Cordell O'Brien, Jenna O'Brien, Daniel O'Brien, Sean O'Brien and Kylie O'Brien; his great grandchildren, Nora, Clare, Elliott, Emry, Aleena, Cullen, Kane, Kaden, Michael and Flynn Daniel; his sister Eileen Rensel; and his sisters-in-law, Kathryn Coleman, Shirley Stockwell and Onnalee Freay.
