Lillian G. Chapman Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lillian G. Chapman of Jamestown, New York, who passed away on August 13, 2025 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Lillian farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Lillian is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gustafson and Gulli Larson Gustafson; her husband C. Ward Chapman; her stepfather Carl Peterson; her granddaughter Hilary Chapman; and her siblings, Margaret Carlson and Richard.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Hiers (Craig) of Jamestown and Robert Chapman (Susan); her grandson Eric; and her sister-in-law Ruby Gustafson.
