She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard E. Derby and Helena L. Derby (Jungberg); her stepmother Violet Derby (Helms); and her brother John Derby. She is survived by: her children, Daniel Carpenter of East Randolph, Rose Carpenter of Jamestown and Katherine Elliott (Chad) of Richmond, VA.; her grandchildren, Lauren and Conner Elliott; and her siblings, Ralph Derby (Joyce) of Randolph and Marcia Pritchard (late Ronald) of Tennessee.

Memorials may be sent in Mary's memory to a Charity of Choice.
