He was predeceased by: his parents, Harland E. Lyon and Alice L. Pattyson Lyon; his siblings, Howard E. Lyon, Sr. and Bonnie Armstrong; and his daughter-in-law Cindy Lyon.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia L. Neckers Lyon; his children, Ronald Lyon, Jr., Randall Lyon (Jeff), Rhonda Sample (Sandy), Renee Kent (Randy), Brian Lyon (Melissa) and Meryl Butler (Michael); his grandchildren, Shawn Sample (Leandra), Kara Sample, Heather Boardman (Seth), Emily Kent, Ella Lyon, Amelia Butler, Rexford Butler and Sandy Lombardo, Jr.; his brother Kenneth Lyon (Kerry); and his siblings-in-law, Leonard Armstrong, Sr. and Paula Lyon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
