He was predeceased by: his niece McKenzie Paulson of Falconer, NY; and his grandparents, Raymond Julius Erickson and Estella Marie Erickson of Jamestown, NY.. He is survived by: his father John E Erickson, Sr. (ED); his stepmother Dawn Erickson of Jamestown, NY; his mother Margaret Peterson; his stepfather Kenneth Peterson of Jamestown, NY.; and his siblings, Robert Erickson of Fort Lauderdale, James Erickson of Gainesville Virginia and Kim Schroeder of Tampa Florida. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Family asks that any donations be made to the Alco Brooks Railroad Display C/O Dunkirk Historical Society and Museum for the Restoration of Locomotive #444 at the Chautauqua County Fairgrounds.
