She was predeceased by: her parents, Hukam Chand Bhutani and Kundan Kaur Bhutani. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Satish Mongia; her children, Sanjay Mongia of Washington, DC, Sumedha Mongia (Greg Fischer) of Oakton, VA and Nisha Mongia (Mason Gasper) of Providence, RI.; her siblings, Jagdish Bhutani, Urmil Minocha and Harish Bhutani; and her grandchildren, Arjun, Anika, Ranya Fischer of Oakton, VA, Kinara and Kavi Gasper of Providence, RI.. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Mrs. Mongia's wishes and in lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Parkinson's Foundation.
