He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Shaffer and Aline Shaffer (Blais); and his brother Lawrence Shaffer. He is survived by: his sister Adrienne Dooher; his nephew George Dooher III (Lauren); his niece Melissa Ossenfort; his great-nieces, Kaelee Ossenfort and Grace Dooher; and his great-nephew George Dooher IV. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the New Comer Cremations & Funerals (705 N Main St, Syracuse, NY 13212). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the White Chapel (6633 Kinne Rd, Syracuse, NY 13214).
