He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thieke and Martina Thieke; and his wife Audrey Wolstedlund. He is survived by: his sons, William, Robert and Jeffrey; his daughters-in-law, Patricia, Adrienne and Kathleen; and his grandchildren, Scott, Shawn, James, Thomas, Emma, Erin and John. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Mathewson-Forani Funeral Home, Inc. (206 Kinne St, East Syracuse, NY 13057). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Cross Church (4112 E Genesee St, Syracuse, NY 13214). A burial was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at the St. Mary's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
