It is with sadness that the passing of Alan W. Howland of Johnson City, New York is shared. Alan, born on October 17, 1938, passed away on October 19, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Alan will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Alan by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Alan is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Alan’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Howland and Marguerite Howland; his wife Judith; and his sisters, Carol Bailey and Patricia Belcher.
He is survived by: his children, Michael (Marie), William (Teresa) and Linda (David). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Barber Memorial (428 Main St, Johnson City, NY 13790). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
