He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Cwikla and Eva Cwikla; his siblings, Genevieve Donatsky, Helen Kotula, Joseph and Martin Cwikla; and his parents-in-law, Frank and Laura Placek.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine "Jeri" Cwikla; his children, Ruth Christensen (Joel) and Stephen Cwikla; his grandsons, Alex (Kathleen), Philip Christensen, Sam (Beth) and Paul Cwikla; his great grandchild Adeline Cwikla; and his sister Leona Levandoski. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home (483 Chenango St, Binghamton, NY 13901). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at the All Saints Parish Cemetery (83 E Maine Rd, Johnson City, NY 13790).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests gifts be made to Mercy House of the Southern Tier in recognition of the special care provided to Ray and his family during his time there.
