She was predeceased by: her parents, Ferdinand Hladik and Alice Hladik (Niemczura); her husband Eugene Ackerknecht; her brother George F. Hladik; her children, Lori Ann Ackerknecht and Ralph E. Ackerknecht; and her sister-in-law Carmita R. Hladik (Zambri).
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Emily A. Ackerknecht (Lucas) and Derek A Ackerknecht; her great grandchild Mariel C Miller; her sister-in-law Sylvia Cheney of Rockwood; and her pet Bella. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Holy trinity Catholic Church in Johnstown for the funeral service.
