It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Brian D. Opalka (Johnstown, New York), born in Amsterdam, New York, who passed away on December 29, 2019, at the age of 47, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Donald Opalka; his nephew Jeffrey Opalka, Jr.; and his grandparents, Steven, Sadie Opalka and William Przybylowicz.

He is survived by: his mother Judith Przybylowicz Opalka; his wife Karen Cichy Opalka; his children, Alec, Matthew, Braydon Opalka and Kaylin Opalka; his brothers, Jeffrey Opalka of Fort Johnson and Kenneth Opalka (Ronda) of Valrico, FL; and his grandmother Edna Przybylowicz of Hagaman. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces.
