He was predeceased by: his parents, Diedrich Steding and Emily Steding (Mueller); and his sister Marie Gerlach. He is survived by: his wife Marie Steding (Vietri); his sons, Christopher Steding, Richard Steding and Eric Steding (Jacques Rosas); and his grandchildren, Ian Steding (Cristen), Danielle Steding and Jarred Steding. He is also survived by extended family and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Gerhard's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
