James left this world on July 6, 2025 at the age of 68, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Michael Billa Sr. and Dorothy Eileen Billa (Erkenbrack); and his siblings, Joanne Shirk, Susan Mary Billa-Kubovcsak, Edward Billa Jr. and Thomas Billa.
He is survived by: his siblings, Barbara Hale (Robert), Rick Billa, John Billa (Brenda), Marianne Hebert and Mark Billa (Maureen). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Barter & Donnan Funeral Home (1 N Melcher St, Johnstown, NY 12095). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Church (205 Glebe St, Johnstown, NY 12095).
