With profound sadness, we say goodbye to James Hammons (Johnstown, New York), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Hammons and Grace Wright Hammons. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Hoyt Hammons; his children, Sara Hammons (William) of Philadelphia, PA and Nicholas Hammons (Samantha) of Gloversville; his siblings, Jeffery Hammons (Jennifer) of Penn Argyle, PA, Edmund "Ted" Hammons (Jennifer) of Ephratah, Rachel Auriemma LeDoux (Stephen) of Mohawk, Douglas Hammons (Catherine) of Edinburg and David Hammons (Amy) of Thomson, GA; his grandchildren, Lyssa, Casey and Steven; and his pet Petey. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, in care of the funeral home, a cause that was near and dear to Scott's heart.
