We are sad to announce that on March 1, 2023, at the age of 92, Joseph Kowalczyk (Johnstown, New York), born in Amsterdam, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Kowalczyk and Julia Kryszczak Kowalczyk; his wife Irma Stuart Kowalczyk; his children, Michael, Peter and Judy Hoyt; his grandsons, Daniel Dopp and Joseph Hoyt; and his siblings, Daniel, Richard and Janice Ruberti.

He is survived by: his children, Patricia Weaver (Gary) of Perth, Rebecca Dopp (David) of Perth and Joseph Kowalczyk (Robin) of Broadalbin; his daughter-in-law Valerie Kowalczyk of Tribes Hill; his grandchildren, Jay, Eric Weaver, Tara, Richard Hoyt III, Kathleen Chestnut, Heather and Joseph Kowalczyk; his great grandchildren, Kayla, Kara, Joshua Weaver, Darren VanDuesen, Dominick, Zander Young, Kyle, Alyssa Hoyt, Chelsie, Richard Jr., Hunter, Elizabeth Hoyt, Sophia Chestnut, Charlotte Dority and Ailynn Frederick; his great great grandchild Serenity VanDuesen; and his aunt Martha DePasquale. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
