He is survived by: his wife Shirley Rattee Sweeney; his sons, Richard Sweeney (Vickie) and Scott Sweeney (Valerie); and his grandsons, Richard T. Sweeney, Matthew Sweeney and Christopher Sweeney. He is also survived by several nieces nephews and cousins.
