He was predeceased by : his parents, Lewis Dake and Dorothy Whitworth Dake; his wife Virginia; his daughter Susan; his siblings, Donald "Jake", Dorothy, Walter, Avis and Phyllis; his close friend Ruth; and also Brian.

He is survived by : his sons, William Dake (Jean) of Perth and Scott (Debbie) of Perth; and also, Donald and Michael Shanahan. He is also survived by four grandchildren; two great-grandsons.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Perth Volunteer Fire Dept., in care of the funeral home.
