With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sharon Markey of Johnstown, New York, born in Gloversville, New York, who passed away on April 11, 2022 at the age of 78. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sharon Markey to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Evelyn Bennett and Gordon W. Bennett; and her sister Audrey Wemple. She is survived by: her former husband James D. Ford of Delhi, OK.; her children, James Ford (Kirsten) of Huesby, Germany and Jessica Ford (James Schlesier) of Johnstown, NY; her stepchildren, Ellen Linza of Aldie, VA, Gretchen Markey of Northville, NY and Sean Markey (Judith) of Peacham, VT; her grandchildren, Angela Huckaby, Benjamin Huckaby, Emily Smrtic and Madison Smrtic; and her friend Shirley Kuhn of Johnstown. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
