She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Sugrue and Ellen Sugrue; her husband James McHugh; and her siblings, Michael, Daniel Sugrue and Mary Looney.
She is survived by: her brother John Sugrue; her sisters-in-law, Mary Sugrue and Sarah Sugrue; her children, Mary Reilly (Charles), Eileen Martini, James McHugh (Lynette) and Peter McHugh (Jennifer); and her grandchildren, Ryan F. Martini (Madeleine), Kathleen M. Reilly, Elizabeth A. Martini, Olivia T. Martini, James F. McHugh Jr., Meghan R. McHugh, Sonya M. Gordon-McHugh and Ronin Gordon-McHugh. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Clark Funeral Home (4 Woodsbridge Rd, Katonah, NY 10536). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Assumption Church (55 Valley Rd, Katonah, NY 10536). A burial was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Francis Cemetery (236 Lexington Ave, Mt Kisco, NY 10549).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Rosary Hill Home (rosaryhillhome.org) or Hospice of Westchester (hospiceofwestchester.org), two organizations dear to Margaret's heart.
