Anne (Almekinder) Shatraw Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on January 3, 2026, at the age of 74, Anne (Almekinder) Shatraw (Kendall, New York) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Bauer and Jane Bauer; her husband Dale Almekinder; her former husband David Shatraw; her son Davey Shatraw; and her sister Karen Bauer.

She is survived by: her daughters, Michelle Smith (Stephen) and Kristina Shubert (Carl); her grandchildren, Shelby Yockel (Charles), Garret Smith (Leah), Ryann Shubert (Brandee) and Darrick Smith (Jenna); her great grandchildren, Gavyn, Lucas, Ranezmae and Rory Rose; her brother John Bauer (Theresa); and her close friend Becky Schaeffer (Thomas). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.

In lieu of flowers, in honor of Anne, donations can be made to an animal rescue of your choosing.
