He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Layer and Cornelia Layer (Keller); his wife Carolyn Layer (Edgar); and his siblings, Paul Layer (late Loretta), Elizabeth Hogan (late Daniel), Rita Kovach (late John) and Lois Lardner (late Vincent). He is also survived by many Nieces and Nephews.
