James Doherty Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Doherty of Kenmore, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 1, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James F. Doherty and Doris Howell; and his siblings, Patricia Dzielski and John Doherty. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Doherty; his sons, Christopher (Amanda) and Matthew Doherty (Katie); his grandchildren, Kariena and Kaitlyn; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Tweed (Jane) and Bonnie Doherty. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lombardo Funeral Home (Northtowns Chapel) (885 Niagara Fls Blvd, Amherst, NY 14226).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in James's name to Hospice of Buffalo.
