She is survived by: her brother Robert Means; her husband Robert "Bob" Murray Hammond; her children, Robert "Scott" Hammond (Barb) and Jeane; her grandchildren, Kimberly Mullins, Donna Ruff (Chad), Christina Richard (Kyle), Megan Machette (Jon), Lexie Hammond and Ryan; and her great grandchildren, Jaden Ruff, Joshua, Zack Isbell, Nolan, Lainey, Hayes Richard, Harrison and Harper Machette.
In 1990, the School of Professional Nursing Alumni Association honored Jeane as "Nurse of the Year" in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the profession.
