He was predeceased by: his son Walter Jayson "Jay" Startup. He is survived by: his siblings, Elizabeth "Bettie" Terwilliger (Startup), Alan I. Startup and Westley Startup; his significant other Onnolee Decker; his children, Joy K. Startup of Ellenville, NY, Jodi Robbins (Tom) of Kerhonkson, NY and Justin Startup (Clarice) of Kerhonkson, NY.; his great grandchildren, Justine (Angelo DeJesus), Katherine Rosa (Zackery Robbins), Isabelle, Sophia, Aria and Carmelina DeJesus; and his goddaughter Pam Wyant. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Fantinekill Cemetery (8068 US-209, Napanoch, NY 12428).
